What we do

We instill Jewish professionals and lay leaders with new skills, strategies and concrete tools to build community with each generation.

We teach skills like how to recruit 50 or 500 people without a flyer, or how to go from coffee dates to community, or lead a compelling Torah study whether you are a rabbi or a novice. We think of these as “people skills” and the skill set we need to build a people.

We teach
  • Community organizing
  • Recruitment
  • Group facilitation
  • Teaching Torah
  • Strategic use of self
  • Securing investment
  • Making Jewish life accessible and vibrant for those at the periphery
  • Data-driven engagement
  • Relationship-based engagement, over programming
  • Use of liminal life moments over “content”
  • Community transformation and ecosystem approach of targeted audiences
  • Change management as a fact of life
  • Lean startup approach over “piloting”
  • Torah curricula designed to build community
  • Seminar and small-group dialogue
  • Cohorts of people in similar life stage
  • “Unicorns” spiritual entrepreneurs
  • Data-driven technologies and CRM
  • Communication templates
  • Sample scripts for recruitment and engagement
We believe
That a passionate network of people (chevra) excited about what they do can have an outsized influence on the wider world.
In building a culture of leaders and participants practicing a thick, pluralistic Judaism.
Putting emphasis on social networks, mentorship, and spiritual leadership effects greater change.
That liminal life moments are key openings into Jewish connections.
Updating the tradition is as old as tradition itself.
